Many users always confused about when to adopt by pass pipeline for their system.
To understand whether by pass pipeline is necessary, we should firstly understand its function, below sketch can be good explanation:
Generally, the evacuating time is main factor to decide whether to use by pass pipeline. if the vacuum receiving chamber is small, and total evacuating time is short, it’s not suggested to add by pass pipeline. Because additional pipe and valve increase not only purchasing cost, but also the leakage rate of whole system, and quantity of easy wearing parts as well.
But when system is used to evacuating big vacuum receiving chamber, with big fore-vacuum pump or numbers of fore-vacuum pump with long evacuating time, a by-pass pipeline is good option. Because the leakage has little impact on final vacuum when pump has big capacity, also it’s energy saving for fore-vacuum pump in long term operation.
